I have a Polis number 3768453 for Jan Boersma payable on his death. He died September 17, 2017 in Abbotsford, B. C. Canada. What is the next thing I should do? Whom should I contact? Do I need to see the Dutch consul in Vancouiver?

Dear Art, my condolences first.
You can contact the insurance company that issued this polis. Most of the time this works via the website. You don' need to see the consul.
Just send/upload the official death certificate and the bills of the funeral costs to the insurance company.
